Day 5 - It’s done!

I applied the masking tape to the timber surrounding the glass and changed the Sikaflex in the caulking gun for waterproof silicone.  Then the glass splashback edges and joins were carefully sealed.  The excess silicone was removed using the same method employed for the Sikaflex.  Finally, all the tape was removed.

I’ve been saving the oak plugs that need to go into the screw holes in the timber mounting blocks.

The plugs have been glued into place and are awaiting the removal of the excess timber using the chisel I purchased from Homebase, Tamworth.

A couple of coats of varnish and the last part of the task was to fit the chrome power socket bezels.

Jan thinks the glass on each side of the galley is a different colour.  But it’s just the sunlight (I hope)
