Which was starting to get somewhat tiresome 
Today he replaced the original extending shower head on the stern with a new type. The old fitting looked like this
The problem was the nozzle leaked and the water ran back down the hose into the engine compartment. Moreover, the ON/OFF mechanism was very “vague”. Andy has replaced it with this fitting.

The new fitting is more robust with a positive ON/OFF mechanism. Another advantage is it has both hot and cold connections along with a mixing chamber.
The shower head is twisted to turn on and adjust the water temperature.

Unlike the first fitting this one can be disconnected from the hot and cold connections inside the engine compartment. An advantage if Waiouru needs to be winterized.
Richard and James glued and clamped the timber liners into the rear doors. They look very smart!
No painting as Darren was working inside the tent on the next boat. However I managed to fix some of the chrome robe hooks onto the cabin walls. We’ve decided against fitting the remaining hooks until we are sure they are required and the proposed location will not interfere with other possible future plans. I also made cardboard templates of the cratch locker tops. The plan is to use the templates to have carpet covers made. Jan also did some online searching for interlocking deck matting for the cratch floor. The original plan was to have a carpet mat on the floor. Since having the cratch cover fitted we’ve noticed condensation can build up on the steel inside the cratch. Physics indicates all this moisture will migrate to the cratch floor before ending in the bilge sump. Any floor carpet would probably absorb the water and likely cause the cratch floor to rust. We are going to fit plastic deck matting between the steel cratch floor and the carpet so the ‘flow’ of the condensation won’t be restricted.
Jan eventually found something suitable on eBay at a very competitive price.
