Loire Valley - Day Three
I need to start with an apology to those of my readers who have left a comment that was never published. For some reason Blogger decided they were spam and I was never informed they existed. With the demise of Open Live Writer I’ve been forced to write posts using blogger and I hate it. I guess I’ll be moving to Wordpress.
No cycling today! We needed to do some repairs to Daniel’s bike and that necessitated a trip to a hardware store in Tours. We could have gone to a bike shop but doing the repairs ourselves was both cheaper and taught Daniel how to do some maintenance on his bike. Obviously times have changed because a aged 10 I knew how to pull my bike apart and reassemble it.
After the bike repairs we took the tram into Tours. We had actually cycled the tram route the previous day but because we had been focused on the route and city traffic we hadn’t taken in the scenery.
The tram fare was very cheap. Probably because Daniel paid! :-)
Next it was Tours Railway Station
Daniel informed me that the interior design of the station was very familiar as he had seen the same when he alighted from the train at the main station in Damascus, Syria. That made sense as Syria was once a French colony.
Hôtel de Ville de Tours
The Tours Court house
Tomorrow is our last full day in Tours. We are going to cycle to several more local chateaus before moving further east to Blois the following day.

Enjoy your cycling tomorrow. I've noticed a photo of the Chocolateir, did you venture inside for a taste?
I am still using Open Live writer, Your comment may explain why the spell checker doesn't remember words any more
