Galley Storage

James installed his crockery rack today.  A considerable amount of time and effort has gone into the design to ensure the available wall space is fully utilised.
Six coffee mugs fit in the top two rows whilst the dinner and side plates fit into the lower row.  James has taken part of the back out of the small oak divider between the dinner and side plates which allows the side plates to be removed from the corner position.
We think James is quite pleased with the finished product
I gave Richard’s galley high locker a coat of varnish first thing this morning and in the afternoon we screwed it to the wall above the sink.  It’s exactly the right height.  Jan can see out of the porthole without the pelmet obscuring her view.
My last job for the day was to plumb and fit the washing machine in the back cabin.
The second order of timber has been delivered so tomorrow we will recommence work on the joinery in the back cabin.
